An event in the cosplay club doesn't generate any stat changes, nor does it seem to count as an event firing because when I exit and re-enter the club after this specific event fires another one always fires

I don't know if this is a bug or what. This event in the cabaret has occurred multiple times with no changes in the dialog or image, and there are no changes to any stats. It's also always the same girl, who doesn't appear to be a member of the cooking or music clubs. In fact I just asked her and she's a member of the cosplay club

The restaurant seems to be a big hit with both the students and the community.

You see Deborah Simmons having a nice meal with some of her father's friends.

That's the whole event, it just shows a picture and summons Deborah Simmons to the room, but doesn't have any actual effect. Might have been supposed to start a chain, or just be incomplete, since it has stat checks? It's not choosing a random student, it's hard-coded to her (and also is fairly legacy, since it doesn't do name/pronoun substitution in the event text).

It could also just be a decorative/flavour event, I guess. But it's annoying how often it runs, and it does consume time.

It won't run if she joins the cooking club, or if you upgrade the cooking club far enough, so if it was supposed to start an event, it'd be missable unless it was related to the cooking club.
