HHS+ / Re: Claire Fuzushi's Corruptio...

Quote from: TBBle on Mar 22, 2024, 04:05 AMOne last thought on Claire/Cosplay Club: Right now, the first stage advances by authority loss. Authority loss is a super-hassle since most things are structured to increase teacher authority over time... What if instead of authority loss, it was Submissive Fetish gain? Every time she's browbeaten into obeying the student's demands (either on-screen or off-screen) she could gain a few points in the fetish (unlike authority, I wouldn't reduce it if the principal takes her side), and the gating could be "authority - submission" if we want to keep authority involved, or just directly use submission as the gate, perhaps with an arousal modifier, a bit like Willingness? Once she has enough points to have the "Submissive" fetish (+50, I think?) then she will agree to full PTA support, you can now give her a Slave Collar which will passively increase corruption, and the club's second stage events (sex/enslavement, gated on corruption and completely TODO) will start to become available naturally, if-and-when someone actually populates them.

Maybe the submissive fetish can also be used like inhibition in the school-grounds skirt-flipping event: Before she has it, taking her side gives her a little happiness and authority back, but after she has the fetish, stepping in would actually cost her some happiness. (But still raise authority, I guess?)
I like these ideas, and I think a submissive teacher could open up future ideas for interactions and fun events. Like our resident dom Ms. Keller could have an interaction with her when they are both moderately corrupted, or she would be the only teacher to be "punished" with basement detention.

HHS+ / Re: [HHS+ 1.10.6] Official Bug...

Version 1.10.6.0 does not start at all. I also had this issue with older versions, the latest version that works for me is 1.10.4.0. Maybe a thing changed in the game runtime?

After running the program, it immediately disappears. Looking in Task Manager I see that it in "Details" it is listed as "Suspended". I cannot get any further information from it.
I see no errors. I run the app and there is nothing. It only makes an empty log file with no messages. I also ran in Powershell, nothing is being logged to the screen, it just gets suspended. Any suggestions for debugging?

This is running in a Windows 11 VM, 64-bit. I have .NET Framework 4.8 and VC Runtime 2010 installed.

HHS+ Mods / Re: [Mod] [Mods] barteke22's m...

I'm stumped.  The only think I can think of is, are you doing this in an existing save, or starting a new game with only these mods loaded in this particular order?

To check which version of a mod you have, you should be able to click on the mod name in the list, and a description should pop up to the left.  Barteke is very good about updating his mod descriptions, and I run them as well without errors.  The versions I have and order in my game are:

  • GPCC 2023.11.23
  • Visible Slave Collar 2023.10.28
  • Teacher Compendium 2023.10.29
  • Stargazing Club 2023.07.08
  • Wig Shop 2023.10.28
  • Population Config 2023.05.15
  • NPC Relationships 2023.10.28
  • Indicators and Difficulty 2023.01.20
  • Annette And Andy 2023.01.20
  • PD_System_Heads 2023.11.02
  • PD_System_Body 2023.11.02

Just taking a wild guess, but I'm thinking you will have to have an event that changes the event location to known or found or whatever the game uses to open new rooms.  Then you will need to make sure your location has a pathway to it from where you want to enter, as well as a pathway in your location back to your entry point.  Haven't looked personally, but that would be my guess.  Maybe look at what happens when you talk to Stacy Slutsky about opening the Cabaret and any events attached to that?

I already operate under the presumption that all the sex in the game is 'good' sex, I don't care for introducing the idea of 'bad' sex.
Agree to disagree then.
And I don't talk of "bad sex" really.  We could have sex doing a differential effect based on a skill of sexual prowess : effect on loyalty, inhibition and will power. For exemple the usual -20 to willpower could be -10 to -30.
Here is a different idea: sex skill is only a bonus. There is after all a difference between good sex and great sex.

A "sex skill" could make stat bonuses more effective, but having it at the default level just means you play at normal game speed like now. That way it isn't a grind.

I have played for years, and the reputation system seems unrealistically punishing in the end game. There are a lot of ways you can get penalized for being too lewd too quick as a balance thing, I get it. But after a certain point in the town's corruption, having just one prude walk in causes a lot of a lot of rep damage and feels unrealistic.

How would people actually behave? Well, if most people are prudish then they would be fine seeing conservatively-dressed people and appalled by naked people. And if most people are very lewd then they would be fine seeing people naked or nearly so, but less so with fully dressed people. After a certain point, the momentum of the town's corruption should start meaning that the player going out partially dressed or doing lewd things would start *earning* them reputation, or at least the player would lose reputation for being dressed too conservatively if everyone else is naked. This would make an interesting "boomerang shape" dynamic, where at the beginning you are pushing against the town's prudishness, trying to see how far you can go, then in the middle you are trying to thread the needle between the lewd and prude groups, and late game the momentum of the town's lewdness pushes everyone to be increasingly sexual.

One other way to achieve this effect would be to have the impact of reputation damage be proportional to the overall perception. If most people in the town are conservative, then the hit is stronger. If half the people are conservative and the other half don't care, the hit is weaker. If only a minority of the town are prudes and the rest are well-corrupted, there shouldn't be a reputation hit. After all, if most people are very corrupted then the prudes gossipping about the player having public sex would not be remarked on as a bad thing.

I have a related point. There needs to be better ways of systemically corrupting the town instead of mad science. The mad science events are inherently random and time-limited, and grinding on those is unsatisfying. The game needs more levers for the player to get the non-school population into the sexual mindset. For instance, town initiatives or increasingly sexual cultural fairs that affect the citizenry like school policies and classes affect the student population.

It also is weird to me when you have a corrupted student walking around naked and their parents are totally conservatively dressed. There should be more "leeching" of lewdness based on relationship closeness. Even if a parent wasn't super sexual or nudist themselves, they wouldn't be appalled seeing the player character half-naked if they see their own kid fully naked every day. (Or to add a challenge, if the parent is getting upset at their child's increasing corruption, then there can be an event where they come to the principal to complain, and then you need to hypnotize or bribe them or whatever to stop them damaging your reputation.)

I've done as suggested and am still getting the same error. Can't fault your logic about the load order so I'm now even more baffled. IS there a way to check versions on mods? As I said, I'm pretty sure I'm downloading the latest but the signposting is pretty poor quality so it's often hard to know that I am downloading the correct mods for the version I'm installing to.

side question, it's unrelated to the current mod I'm working on, but I will need to know to for later ones. How to I have a new location form a connection to the current map? For example, Lexiville's slave rooms, are non-existent in the based world extension. but the moment the game is fully loaded, the appear in the world editor with a connection to the players home and then appear once built. So far I have a test world extension made, and tried to copy how lexiville has it setup but I just don't know how to have it form a path connector once the world is fully loaded. I tested it, and the game shows it exists and I event forced the player into the loc, but other then that there isn't a way to get to the room through normal means. Knowing my luck I most likely missed a step.

The goals you select at the beginning of the game do not currently have an overall function, but there are plans for them to have an effect later on.  Think of them as personal goals for yourself (the player) rather than the Principal.  So far as I have seen from my playthroughs so far, there is no reason you cannot have them all selected via the debug menu, as none of them have added - or blocked - any events for me so far.  The only change I've seen has been when using a Female or Futa Principal vs a Male Principal, you have fewer society choices.

If you are playing with mods, sometimes the order in which they are loaded can affect how they work.  Make sure that none of the mods you have selected have a yellow ! by them - if they do, they are relying on another mod to be loaded higher on the list, and will usually tell you what it is.   Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you about those errors.

Hope this helps!

Quote from: RoboArchie on May 03, 2024, 12:02 PMI didn't realise there was a non Barteke in there. So I went in and delteted the mods then only loaded

ALL MODS NEED ME (GPCC)
AnnetteAndAndy
PD_System_Body
PD_System_Heads
Pregnancy

For those to work, you need to move the order to be:
  • GPCC  (Must be first before any Bartek_22 mods)
  • AnnetteAndAndy  (Can be anywhere after GPCC but before PD_System_Heads)
  • Stargazing Club  (Can be anywhere after GPCC but before PD_System_Heads)
  • Pregnancy  (Must be before the PD_System mods)
  • PD_System_Heads  (Must be in this order and last two mods loaded for the mods to function correctly)
  • PD_System_Body  (Must be in this order and last two mods loaded for the mods to function correctly)

The error is coming because the PD Body mod is looking for a tag created and used by the Pregnancy mod, which hadn't been loaded.  Afterwards, the PD Body relies on the PD Heads mod, so those three need to be in that particular order.
