Quote from: Ch12 on Jan 04, 2025, 09:38 AMI have not ported the BK.ini generator yet. It kinda works in a first try, but it doesn't mesh well with the new renpy 3 UI. For now, please use the old tagging tool if you want to use the generator.

The answer.

I'm not entirely sure this is the right place to ask this, but should pictures tagged with "maid" and "bunny" also always be tagged with "cosplay"?
Here's a link to my girlpacks.

Hmm, indeed, it seems there's no equivalent to the old girl pack advice thread on the new forum?

As far as BK is concerned, 'bunny' automatically gets 'cosplay', and maids are not always cosplaying (the morning obedience event and farm backup tag, most prominently).

I suppose I'll keep asking my tag questions here. And thanks for the answer, Jman.

I've been thinking about this for a while but couldn't come up with an answer on my own. Should pictures of the girl dressed in a stereotypical harem outfit be tagged with "cosplay" and/or "hooker"? Should they be tagged with "dancer" even if it's a sex act or clearly doing a different job? Or should the outfit not affect the tags at all?

hi guys! did .webm format for video still work on this version? i got a lot of errors when try tag videos.
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:

It's not an error, it's a warning. Close the video that's playing on your screen (by selecting a non-video file in the tagger window) and then commit your changes.

Well, the fact that there's no 'warning' screen is a bug, I guess.

I wanted to comment on this, but forgot. :-[ Well, better late than never.

IMO, a belly dancer or 'harem' outfit would go with 'dancer', unless it's clearly something else. Even sex acts can go with 'dancer', since the little 'extra service' customer events do use sex act + job combos. Although in that case, only 'dancer anal' would be actually useful. But having some other acts wouldn't be too bad, either, since the game should look for other sex acts as well if you have 'variety' enabled in the settings. And there could always be new events or mods in the future, even if some particular combination is not used right now.

Personally, I don't see 'hooker' or 'cosplay' being appropriate, unless the outfit is obviously of secondary importance and the wearer is visibly faking being a harem girl.

What are the differences between this version and version 2.8.14
For the options.rpy file, is it ok to transfer some of the settings over or are they deprecated:
Spoiler
    config.has_autosave       = False
    config.autosave_slots     = 1
    config.quicksave_slots    = 1
    config.autosave_on_choice = False
    config.autosave_on_quit   = False
    config.screen_width       = 1792
    config.screen_height      = 1024
    config.image_cache_size = 48
[close]

Changes: fourth post in the thread.

None of these options are deprecated, as they're part of Ren'Py. But since the tagger doesn't make saves as such, the save-related options are irrelevant. Cache is probably also not too useful, although I don't really know, perhaps all the myriad consecutive images might indeed require some extra.

Resolution does have an effect, but it can lead to somewhat strange non-maximised windows.

Sorry, didn't see this post initially.

I think I added those config options myself for the old tagger, since I was annoyed that by default it would make autosaves, so I tried to disable it and 'remove' the autosave slots.

Running on a potato, I assumed reducing the cache size would increase load times but decrease CPU usage/temps. I'm not sure.

Jman

Ah, yeah, disabling autosaves is indeed somewhat useful. Reminds me of when I tried to kill all autosaves, rollbacks and the dialogue history log in another project. Ren'Py has a surprisingly large amount of those.

Less cache should save you memory (RAM, not sure if VRAM too) at the expense of reloading images into memory more often. Which also taxes the CPU some, I imagine. So depends on your memory/cycles balance, I guess. Usually, people tend to want to increase this.
