So my issue is that to complete the hooter questline I need a camera, Problem is the one I buy from the shop is always gift wrapped, When I attempt the quest It fails saying I don't have a camera, I think the game isn't recognizing it as the needed quest item.

I assume at some point I promised a camera to some NPC in the game world, Who that is I have no idea.

I've tried buying more camera's and they too all come gift wrapped, I've sold the camera gift returned at a later time and once again all I can buy are gifted camera's.

Not sure if this is a bug per say it's more like an unintended issue with the gifting system.


 

Need a spycam, not the gift camera.

It's a bit of extreme videogameyness - spy cameras are fully functional cameras, in addition to being possible to plant somewhere unobtrusively to spy on something. Meanwhile, the other cameras in the game are not actually cameras - they're gifts that can be given to people and are incapable of doing anything like taking pictures...
