That's the HasQuest trait. It blocks a lot of things until their quests are completed which is the only game-safe method of removal, upon which the trait and all protection disappears. There are other ways but those might lead to your game breaking.

Sorry for the basic question but... Is there a x86 version? I can't seem to find it despite the description of the official post saying about it. Or maybe is another think that is the problem?

The release post was talking about the x86 version of the Visual C++ redist files.
As I don't currently have access to a test box, I can't say for sure if the game would work on a 32-bit OS.

I see. Thanks for the answer.

We build the executable in "AnyCPU" mode, so it should work in theory on 32-bit systems as well. DLLs for Skia and SQLite are also provided in multiple versions for different environments and should be picked based on the OS the program is running on.

But we don't have a test system for it, so no idea whether it actually works.

Windows 10 Home 32bit on vmware 64bit capable host, 2CPU cores, 1GB memory
.NET 8 desktop runtime 8.0.17 32bit
Visual C++ 14.44.35208.0 32bit (latest VC++ redistributable from MS)

"This app can't run on your PC" when running hhs+.exe

hhs+.exe also did not prompt to upgrade from .NET 4.8 to 8 like some 1.11 version did on 64bit Win11. I would suspect that you do have 64bit binary that is not compatible with 32bit OS.

Microsoft provides 32bit windows 10 iso without asking for personal details and Vmware workstation player is free for personal use.

We dropped 32bit support to not have to worry about RAM limitations.

Although prior to .NET8 it was still possible via AnyCPU.  Now AnyCPU requires a separate .exe to run as 32bit.

You can try skipping the .exe via (assuming 32bit runtime is installed):   Shift + Right click in game folder > PowerShell (or CMD to game dir) > dotnet hhs+.dll
If that works, the 32bit version does not have enough RAM to reliably support LocationLayouts, so disable everything related to them under settings.

Regardie

Pregnancy, can I disable it by deleting game files? I thought I would like the mechanic but I have decided that it detracts from the school management aspect of the game for me. I was happy when it was a mod that I could ignore and not install.

Anyone know how long someone stays mad at you?
Due to another event I missed a date with Susan Hooter and now she won't talk to me.
It's been at least a week
