Are there enough fixes and changes internally to commit to 1.10.0.3 yet?
Not trying to rush you, just remembering how fast 1.10.0.1 and 1.10.0.2 happened.

I have forwarded your request to the engineering team (jk).

If I postpone the GenSex image expansion support, can probably release what's done as the most critical stuff was taken care of in the last few days.  Though need to check with the others to see if they've got anything left.

This patch is a lot of misc fixes to chains, which would normally break them, but I'd say there's a solid 6.5/10 that existing saves will be fine vs the previous 0/10 - as object/event reloading was improved a bit.

Gotta say I'm interested in those goals. Obviously, we're in the "bare bones barely showing you what our plans are" stage, but will these goals change certain gameplay elements?

Grabbed the latest release today to start a new game.

Thoughts:

I wish you had included Shilo's dev blog about population generation in the docs folder as it has changed significantly and much of what was located in the Schools/NormalSchool/Config/DefaultGameConfig.xml file has been moved to other locations, without a pointer in the file to the new locations.

It makes it much harder to tailor your population before a new game. I understand it allows for more variety, at the expense of simplicity and you only need to do it if you want to change the default population, but having it all in one place in the config folder would seem like a better location for the files, as they only get referenced when starting a new game.

As it is, I cannot start a new game until I find the appropriate dev blog and read up on the changes, and see if I can understand what I would like to change, and which files might have that information.

Edit: Found the blog post in the development section, now I have questions about the weighting in DefaultGameConfig.xml for the population data. The total of the weighting numbers exceeds 100 so the weighting is not based on a percentage like in the student or adult files where the weighting seems to always equal 100 and controls the ratio of male, female, and futa students. How does the weighting apply in initial population generation?

You know I have always been reading about this Shimakaze quest on the computer and I have to ask. Is that restricted to male!Principal only?

No. Principals of any gender can do that.

I believe the character it deals with is attracted 100/0/0 (M/F/H) to the genders, but he'll still be happy with the questline work (and post-questline, you can always convince characters that have zero like for your PC's gender to have sex and confess love anyways, see April and Max Raymund for characters that are 100% straight but not quest protected)

Sorry, I've been having trouble having the quest fire. I know you're supposed to go through the chatrooms, but other than that, I got nothing.

I've never encountered it by chatting, only by hacking student social media.

I was thinking someone should create a special character for Sayoko the neighbor as she only appears in her events but cannot be found wandering around town. In any of her appearances, does she have a last name? I could not find one in the brief searching I did.

What would be required? Paperdoll and a xml file to link it during population generation? Would her house need to make it on the map? What about her son?

On another note, I like the defined per character hypno cooldown with the watch icon but 4 days is too long. It makes an already grindy game even more so. The hypno nerf is also a little strong as hypno was my default way of corrupting my students and now I fail far more often but there is no in game clue that maybe I should rest before trying it again on another student, if that is the cause of failure. Plus the almost guaranteed fail on any HasQuest character is quite annoying. Just because you want to steer a player to the quests doesn't mean you should cripple a working game mechanic with once again no in game message that indicates that the attempt will almost always fail.

I've got Sayoko + Son & the 3 Coppers chain NPCs already made, it's just that it would take some time to properly connect them to their relevant events, so I'm holding off on them till someone picks up their chains, or I've got enough time.  You can see them all in the Event Contribution database.

I also recommend posting balance issues in the Game Balance thread, as people are unlikely to remember where this is if they want to consider looking into balance tweaks.
