Alien Infestation
(previously named "Alien Infection")

Tags: Sci-Fi, Tentacles, Alien, Possession, Parasite.

Warning: This mod is only for people who like tentacles and alien possession stuff.
Probably the "The Faculty" movie is a good reference here.

Also, you can think about this mod as a crossover between HSS+ and Parasite Infection game:

Mod Description

Background Story
This is temporary(?) explanation of the mod context. So far all this background is NOT present in the mod. Eventually it should become an "intro event chain" but so far it's not.
QuoteYou find a strange slug-like creature. Curious, you take it to your office nad put into an empty terrarium.
Your attempts to find any information about it fail, so you decide to keep it as a pet.
Eventually it turns out that this is an alien parasite that can possess human females (or futas)
 and wants to gather as much as possible DNA samples (infect as many hosts as possible).
Also, the creature needs your seed as a catalyst for its gestation process because it was kind of "imprinted" by your DNA first.
Creature offers to corrupt women for you in exchange for the help with spreading this creature across the town.

There is no mod here (yet). Only current info on the development.

This post is created just as quick way to answer about the current state of the mod.

Minor thing first: mod was renamed from "Alien Infection" to "Alien Infestation". I think the new name better reflects the content of the mod.

Regarding the status. I'm switched back from the work related to base game release (HHS 1.10) to the development of this mod. However please do not expect quick updates. I think it may take months to finish things that I want to be done having the little time I usually have.

Also I lack good images for some events. So usually things go in reverse way: I find a good image and then a scene/event is created around it. So if you find a good image (or image set) that can be utilized for this mod then please sent it to me as PM here or on our Discord (https://discord.gg/u8rsGaNgHA).

For the record, you mean months to finish the first version, right?  Not the whole thing?  Sorry, don't mean to rush you, it's just that as someone who only cares to play through the game in an entirely mind control-focused way, I'm kind of counting on this mod after the new version chose to "nerf" hypnosis by simply forcing you to use it less.  That's why I'm curious about how this is progressing, since it'll basically be what makes the game even playable for me at this point.

Couldn't you just get the art used in the game you're taking inspiration from and use it in the mod? I suppose you would want to ask first but...

I'm pretty sure the problem is getting something that fits with this game's overall presentation.  Parasite Infection primarily uses individual character art on a transparent background, whereas this game uses full artwork that covers the screen.  There are other sources of potential artwork that unfortunately wouldn't fit, such as comics or half the stuff you'd find on DeviantArt or whatever.

(For that matter, if memory serves, the older version of this mod actually does use artwork from Parasite Infection, but only for item icons and stuff like that.)

The original game (Parasite Infection) has very different art style that is not compatible with HHS anime style.

However the art is not the main blocker. I just have some other plans till the end of summer for now.

Actually I've got back to the mod development around two weeks ago and already finished to port old content to HHS 1.10 with corresponding adjustments. Right now it mostly ready for the first HSS 1.10 release. This release will not have story-related content and and will have significant limitations but with main things in place. I want to finish few things first but I hope that I'll manage to finish that within a week or so.

After the some consideration I've decided to release current version "as is". It might be better to have at least something for HHS 1.10 than force everybody wait for indefinite amount of time.

Support and compatibility:
* Current mod state is terms of stability should be considered an "ALPHA" release. Expect bugs.
* Future mod updates are likely to be incompatible with this specific version. PLEASE MAKE SAVE FILE BACKUP before installing this mod.
* Do not install this mod if you are not ready to start the game from scratch when the next version of this mod gets released.

Usage:
* Enable mod
* In case of existing game:
  * MAKE SAVE FILE BACKUP - See "Support and compatibility" above
  * Debug -> Reload Game Objects -> Add Changed Objects, Refresh Files
  * Debug -> Reload Events -> Add Changed Events, Refresh Files
* Your Bedrom -> "Alien Infection Debug" button -> "Add Werms to Inventory"

Nice!  Got a bug report, though.  This happened when I tried to get someone to do "oral feeding".

I've been getting this error in the latest update.  I thought it was because of using an older save, but it seems to happen in a fresh save as well.  It happens every time I interact with anyone, too, so kind of a big deal.

This sounds like really nice idea to me. I would definitely would like to have that. However I have no experience with editing/customizing HHS paper doll and so far have other directions to focus on. I would be great if somebody else could implement this part because it's unlikely that I will be able to get to this feature anytime soon.

Question:

Is the Werm Parasite Big, supposed to be used as a trap to infect? As in leaving it in an area?
Or should you be able to use it to infect those under mind control?

Reason for asking is, when I try to use it with mind control, I do not get the option to use it.
Even though when I put someone under my suggestion, I get the option to infect with parasite, but
the following choices are blank, even when I have the big werm in my inventory.

It's a bug. In the current version Big Werm should work is the similar way as other ways. So far it's just has stronger effects on it's host.

Could you please elaborate? The mod itself is not integrated into game paperdoll system at all. So I don't really understand what exactly you mean.

In which xml is the infected daily modifier. The one, that trickers at new day. I wanna try to change "increase relationship" to "increase friendship".
I really miss a "high frequency low yield" action to grind friendship. We can increase "love" by making love and we have dozens of repeatable ways. Drugs, hypno and general corruption of the public to be really easy hook ups. Hell, your Subdue Host action maxes it out.

It wasn't, as far as I know. Although, I installed it on 1.10.4.2 and didn't notice any serious problems (even with Lexville mod installed),the only one I encountered was error message with mouth feeding.

The error message had the following text: ShowAction: Unsupported Action value
Could this be caused by the fact that i play as a female character?

Thank you. I don't see with np++ an quick way and the visual editor of HHS doesn't have an easy "add thing increasing friendship with Player" button. I guess it's the add operation>person>person>person relationship> stuff i have to experiment with.

Yes, it is the most likely cause. This mod was not adjusted for female characters. At least for now.
