Warning: This mod is only for people who like tentacles and alien possession stuff.
Probably the "The Faculty" movie is a good reference here.

Mod Description

Background Story
This is temporary(?) explanation of the mod context. So far all this background is NOT present in the mod. Eventually it should become an "intro event chain" but so far it's not.
QuoteYou find a strange slug-like creature. Curious, you take it to your office nad put into an empty terrarium.
Your attempts to find any information about it fail, so you decide to keep it as a pet.
Eventually it turns out that this is an alien parasite that can possess human females (or futas)
 and wants to gather as much as possible DNA samples (infect as many hosts as possible).
Also, the creature needs your seed as a catalyst for its gestation process because it was kind of "imprinted" by your DNA first.
Creature offers to corrupt women for you in exchange for the help with spreading this creature across the town.

Lore / Concept Details
  • The creature has parasitic nature. It can get into a human host (woman or futa) and inhibit her body to slowly corrupt it and then use it for reproduction.
  • The creature can produce strong aphrodisiacs and mind-altering chemicals to suppress host's will and erase recent memory.
  • Infected hosts are unaware of the infection because the parasite (Werm) is able to erase recent memory. So infected NPC behave exactly as usual.
  • The creature has weak telepathic powers. You can mentally give some commands to it, so it can affect the host it possesses.
  • The creature can change it's color and shape to a certain degree. It can use this ability to hide or setup an ambush.

Mod Content Description
  • This MOD adds an item named "Werm Parasite". That's an alien creature that you can use to infect females with it.
  • You can place this item at any location and eventually the Werm will infect a passing by female.
  • Also you can directly infect a sleeping female.
  • After the infection the Werm will slowly gain control over the host.
  • After certain levels of control you get possibility to issue some commands to the Werm so it can stimulate the host for certain lewd actions
  • Also after some levels of control the host will start to produce new Werms.
  • At high level of control the host can directly be ordered to infect others in same location.
  • Sometimes infected females will directly infect other females at same location.
  • Sometimes infected females will place a Werm at their location.

Notes
  • The infestation spread can we very slow initially but after some time it becomes quite fast. Eventually almost all females in town become infected.
  • Chance of being infected for a female is increased by arousal and corruption and decreased by inhibition (applied for infection by Werm placed in location).
  • This MOD is not balanced at all.

Mod version 0.4.0 is the first release for HHS 1.10.
Support and compatibility:
  • Current mod state is terms of stability should be considered an "ALPHA" release. Expect bugs.
  • Future mod updates are likely to be incompatible with this specific version. PLEASE MAKE SAVE FILE BACKUP before installing this mod.
  • Do not install this mod if you are not ready to start the game from scratch when the next version of this mod gets released.

Usage:
  • Enable mod
  • In case of existing game:
  •   * MAKE SAVE FILE BACKUP - See "Support and compatibility" above
  •   * Debug -> Reload Game Objects -> Add Changed Objects, Refresh Files
  •   * Debug -> Reload Events -> Add Changed Events, Refresh Files
  • Your Bedrom -> "Alien Infection Debug" button -> "Add Werms to Inventory"

Known Problems:
  • Unbalanced with the core game. Corrupting city with that mod might happen MUCH faster than with regular means.
  • Unbalanced with itself. Not all the functionality was adjusted to the new mod mechanics, so some parts may have very different levels of energy cost.
  • May cause game slowdown in some cases. Please report if after the mod installation and active play the game becomes noticeably slow.

  • Fix: Big Werm is not usable for infection under MC

Release Notes for 0.5.0:
  • Added some images for "Infect Hypnotized" interaction
  • Now you can give an infected person an order to infect other person in same room. It's required that there is exactly one non-infected person in the room. Hint: it's up to you to set up such situation.
  • Werm to Big Werm transformation (will boost corruption a bit).
  • "Release pheromones" actions will not advance time. So you can now actually utilize relaxing pheromone effect for Hypnosis.

There is no mod here (yet). Only current info on the development.

This post is created just as quick way to answer about the current state of the mod.

Minor thing first: mod was renamed from "Alien Infection" to "Alien Infestation". I think the new name better reflects the content of the mod.

Regarding the status. I'm switched back from the work related to base game release (HHS 1.10) to the development of this mod. However please do not expect quick updates. I think it may take months to finish things that I want to be done having the little time I usually have.

Main issues that I have:
  • I want to overhaul the mod core logic once again :(
  • The text for into/story events is still unfinished and I have no progress on it for a year. Still have to decide if it's better to drop the intro completely or add some "stub text" instead.
  • "Research/evolution tree" is only designed but not implemented.

Also I lack good images for some events. So usually things go in reverse way: I find a good image and then a scene/event is created around it. So if you find a good image (or image set) that can be utilized for this mod then please sent it to me as PM here or on our Discord.

  • Female "gives birth" to a parasite or eggs

Criteria:
  • No guro/scat
  • Preferably if the parasite is tentacle-like or slug/slime creature.
  • It's better to avoid "insect"-type parasites (insect-like wings, legs or heads)

For the record, you mean months to finish the first version, right?  Not the whole thing?  Sorry, don't mean to rush you, it's just that as someone who only cares to play through the game in an entirely mind control-focused way, I'm kind of counting on this mod after the new version chose to "nerf" hypnosis by simply forcing you to use it less.  That's why I'm curious about how this is progressing, since it'll basically be what makes the game even playable for me at this point.

Couldn't you just get the art used in the game you're taking inspiration from and use it in the mod? I suppose you would want to ask first but...

I'm pretty sure the problem is getting something that fits with this game's overall presentation.  Parasite Infection primarily uses individual character art on a transparent background, whereas this game uses full artwork that covers the screen.  There are other sources of potential artwork that unfortunately wouldn't fit, such as comics or half the stuff you'd find on DeviantArt or whatever.

(For that matter, if memory serves, the older version of this mod actually does use artwork from Parasite Infection, but only for item icons and stuff like that.)

The original game (Parasite Infection) has very different art style that is not compatible with HHS anime style.

However the art is not the main blocker. I just have some other plans till the end of summer for now.

Actually I've got back to the mod development around two weeks ago and already finished to port old content to HHS 1.10 with corresponding adjustments. Right now it mostly ready for the first HSS 1.10 release. This release will not have story-related content and and will have significant limitations but with main things in place. I want to finish few things first but I hope that I'll manage to finish that within a week or so.

After the some consideration I've decided to release current version "as is". It might be better to have at least something for HHS 1.10 than force everybody wait for indefinite amount of time.

Plans for relatively close future:
  • Werm transfer for female to female kiss
  • Add some images for "Feeding" scenes (instead on re-using built-in images)
  • Add some images for infecting sleeping females
  • Add two location-specific scenes (public bathroom infection and female to female transfer in restaurant) using image sets that I have
  • Remove/hide debug-related stuff

Plans for distant future:
  • Reintegrate the story (intro) text into the game
  • Events with "wearable" parasites (living cloth and similar things)
  • Add as many different scenes if there good images for them
  • "Research Tree" feature (might be discarded)
  • "Biological Experimentation Club"
  • Remove text from existing images with help of AI
