Well, yeah, if you want a more complicated game, you need to put in more work. I'd presume even the Twine games can support some randomness, so saturating the calls with lots of images per and maybe also mildly randomised blurbs would get rid of that weakness... But then you'd want something else improved. :)

There's already a game in development that's been announced on this very forum and has a lot of BK DNA, in addition to ideas from other sources. And that has clearly taken quite a bit of effort. And we also have Sim Brothel C that's about as neat as a simbro clone can hope to be... and Chris has spent a few years to make that while being an actual coder.


Still, I think the usual advice to start small and build on that experience is still good. Pick an engine and try to make even a tiny slideshow and see how it works out for you.
And with strange aeons even death may die...

Hello everyone,

I just saw this thread so I'd also like to introduce myself.

I'm Deimos from Southeast Asia. I started playing BK in 2022 and helped Goldo with the Evil Power UI in the 0.3 update. BK has inspired me to learn and make games using Renpy.

I am currently making a brothel game similar to BK but less hentai and more erotica(?). The premise is based on the brothels from Edo period Japan such as Yoshiwara. I don't know if this kind of game is your kink (again, its not really meant to be a hentai game) but once I have a prototype I hope I can share it with you guys.
