Hey,
I wanted to write a suggestion or two, but I didn't think the other topics were appropriate, so I hope it's alright to open this thread.

Anyway, I think it'd be nice to tone down certain events, or make sure they can't happen too often. I had two brawler events within a few days and it totally wrecked my playthrough, one of my girls got hurt for over 20 days, the place got +200 dirt (+100 for each event) and I couldn't help it. Instant cleaning was way too expensive, cleaning personnel was way too slow and my girls kept getting hurt/sick so I went bankrupt... So, maybe this part of the game could use some rebalancing?

Are you keeping a lot of cash on hand?  Because the threat level is directly connected to the amount of cash you have.  It's also inverse to the amount of security goons you have.   So two ways to reduce the likelihood of raids like that is getting rid of the cash and increasing the amount of security that you have.

No, not at all... I had less than 500 cash for sure. Had 2-3 goons hired.

I was completely baffled tbh, as I simply couldn't even clean the place and things went downhill real fast.

In fact, brothel costs went up after moving to the docks, so I struggled to make money at all.

Im doing it like this: i hire 5~6 goons raise the advertising up to the max number what the girl can handle and raise the cleaners up to 4 (it's enough for the whole chapter1). It will only cost me about 20 gold/day.

Don't know if you are the same person, but there was one such feedback on F95.

One idea which could mitigate the problem somewhat would be to allow the player to 'partially clean' the brothel to the extent of his finances (basically spending his entire balance and cleaning proportionally to gold spent). Still a risky move, but better than spiraling into bankruptcy.

Hello,

I actually wanted to say that i enjoy all the fighting events, including the brawling ones. Wanted to add a suggestion about adding more of those in the future, i love the new siege system, it's a shame that i have to leave my brothel unguarded for it to receive attacks more often. Was wondering if there will be move fighting events in the future and will those include the girls too? Will be amazing to put in use all the weapons i buy for them. I enjoy your game so much that i decided to try and learn how to create events myself, i'm not good at coding, but will see what happens when i have some free time. I understand that having a brothel is the main aspect of the game, but would enjoy to have more things to do outside of that and include the girls in those. Not sure if the holiday\birthday events are part of the new update or some of the the mods i added, but i really like those too! I had a suggestion on the old forum about tagging photos, so that some only appear when your MC is in them, to kind of give him a sense of uniqueness, instead of using the same images for customers and MC. I wasn't able to achieve that sadly, it's way too hard for me to do, at least for now! In any case, thanks for continuing to support the game and adding new things to it, Goldo!

Small suggestion:

Make the /game/default images folder dynamic, like a regular girlpack. Making it easy to replace the images it contain.
(If no suitable image is found in girlpack -> Look in /game/default/ for a suitable image. If none found -> show the "No suitable image found" error message.)

But really I should just complete my default images replacement project and upload it for the developers to implement at their own leisure. Would any developer even be interested in this?

Well, you'd have to define what "your MC" looks like compared to other males and I'm afraid that's a very difficult proposition. I guess what you mean is to exclude pics that have a male protagonist that looks very distinctive, such as a very fat one or one whose face is shown...

As to how to implement it, you'd need to add a new tag to the tag dictionary in BKsettings.rpy (such as "main"), and add the necessary game logic in training events so that MC-only pictures are fetched (mostly by adding your new tag to the 'and_tags' argument list) and in customer events to exclude those pictures (by adding your new tag to the 'not_tags' argument list).

But this is not really where the most work lies. The most work is re-tagging all of your girl packs with this new logic. That's going to be extremely time-consuming I think, but do-able of course.

Well, there is really only one developer but yes, I'm interested in your default replacement project - although I remember other people were working on that so you might want to merge your efforts with them (sadly, with the loss of the old forum I don't remember who it was).

I'm not sure what you mean by making the default folder dynamic. AFAIK, it is already dynamic, i.e. you can add new pictures with the right tags and they will be used.

I got a suggestion, that allow you to replaced Sill with your Waifu, trust me this is gonna be really good for main game story
- Replaced your Sill with your Waifu, making your slave as a trainer

- Change the trainer to a marriage system, it will act the same as trainer but the slaves will be train according to which trait does your married Waifu have. (You can marry how many you want or marry one and make the others your concubine)

- Add in tier like there should be 3 tier in the game
+ Tier 1: Married: their upkeep is still 125%/150% you can choose which gold trait they can have and that gold trait will not affect the upkeep

+ Tier 2: Hired: their upkeep is at 100% you can choose which positive trait that they can have that positive trait will not affect the upkeep

+ Tier 3: Slaves: their upkeep is at 50%/75% (or none depends how you want to configure the game) you can remove 1 or 2 bad traits that will not affect the upkeep

- Tier 1,2,3 can be bought/get by hiring them from the street/store or buy them from a slave market.

- Add a new job where your slaves/hired can be use as a guard rather than renting out bodyguards for you or your brothel. (pretty much by adding +(number)attack/defense/magic
Hopefully these feature can make it into the game and if you want more, I got a lot of stuff in mind. These are just some quality changes for the player experiences

An idea for a new brothel room you can construct.  An Office room, works similar to the Master Room, that gives you free react actions every day.  At night you call your women to your bedroom for training/magic, in the morning for chat/react.  Gives you more time to get to know your women and be good/evil without sacrificing the important daily actions.

Maybe even add some craftables with it.  Things like a hammock and comfy chair to buff positive interactions, a paddle or handcuffs for negative interactions.  Maybe even enable unique reactions based on things built, something like a massage table (good) or a gag (evil).  Dunno what to make to buff chat options.

The main issue here (besides re-coding a fair chunk of the game) is that Sill is quite important to the story. Still, this could be something to look at for the no-story mode.

The trainer system works very differently from your proposal, though, so I'm not sure what you mean by 'act the same as trainer'?

The issue here is that 'traits' is a reflection of a girl's background and natural abilities. She's not suddenly going to develop big boobs or pretty eyes or magic skills just because you married or hired her.

I've discussed a version of this idea here (https://henthighschool.net/index.php?msg=614). I think this is separate from your other suggestions and would benefit from being implemented in the way I suggested (because it would open the door to 'mini girlpacks').

I understand the idea, but I wonder if that wouldn't disrupt the game flow too much (I already find the Master bedroom kind of intrusive). The main problem is that 'react' interactions have built-in diminishing returns: if you praise or punish a girl several times in a row, it stops working. So this feature would require the player to swap girls in and out of the Office on a daily basis. It then becomes as much if not more micro than interacting with the girl manually.

Still, if I try to get to the core of your concern, it seems to me your underlying problem is that AP are expensive and you'd rather be spending them on something else. We could then imagine an Office building or some piece of furniture that would grant you X free chatting actions every day.

This would relieve the AP problem without introducing all the overhead of the above solution.

Then here's some other suggestions that could work:

1. Changing the Girl interaction(updated)
-Encourage: To date/hangout with your slave

-Discipline: Fix the rape option where some slaves likes to be raped by their own master (with enough love ofc)

-Adding a new type "Active" in React:
+ Make her act as your alarm clock where she can do either service, sex, anal, or fetish based on her sex act Preferance
-> Naked and Bisexual won't show up but Group can show only if there are 2 girls or more in your room to have like an orgy morning.
+ In Chat>Personal topics or General topics
-> Add option to make friendly acts towards specific slaves
-> Add option to help slaves with secrets, requesting some secrets about a specific slave or  striking a deal with your slave where'll they be more loyal if you do them a favor

2. Interactive while working and management
-Add the option to interfere with your slaves (like the one in Ashford Academy where you move around the school and see events of the students around you) some mini events are great but I sometime feel a bit lack luster day after day while seeing my slaves work hoping for a mini event came up.

-What I mean by management is that where you can restart from the beginning and make a new buisness where you earn more income than managing 1 and you can open multiple buisnesses. (could lag the game for sure, but my storage is a m.2 so I couldn't care about lagging that much)

3. Upgrades in brothel
-Upgrades your security rather than spending more money to hire more people (like cameras, better fences, a safe, traps, etc....)
-More jobs where your slaves can work as a barmaid, assisstant (must be at your side where ever you go and can have up to 3 girls which where they'll be staying in your bed rather than training them), allow upgrades dancers into strippers, etc....

5. Fixing the tier systems
-remove the tier systems and copy the mechanic like the one in school games made by Sloths, ofc in order to progress your relationship, you should at least know them for like 15 days or more which could improve your relationship capacity with your slaves further, ofc Yandere traits are different and aren't affected by this system, don't know if you're into Yandere tho.

Latching on to this one - currently the game tells you that a girl "is grumbling about running away", but we could also start writing dialogue lines for this.

It could be part of a larger collection of "mini-events": Small comments from your girls that add some flavor while also hammering home some useful information, very limited in scope (no direct interaction with MC, mini-events are small glimpses you happen to catch as you pass by & over within 2-5 lines):

- Idle chit-chat commenting on another girl's traits (suggesting which jobs might suit her? only if she's still low rank?)
- Complaining that she wants a dress if the player still hasn't equipped one on her after X days in the brothel
- Complaining that the brothel is dirty
- Complaining that threat level is high
- Worrying about the brothel being in debt
- ? ? ?

Oh then could the game have more active slave stats like conditions (It's shows you whether slaves are having a bad day, anxious, lustful, sad) could let you know which mini-events is gonna show up, ofc this is only for easy mode for newbies like me where I suck at the game... It also reminds me about the pregnancy system in brothel-king XD

+ 2nd stage: slave belly grow a bit bigger (could show pregnant/non-pregnant slave) 50% can't work while being pregnant

+ 3rd stage: the baby about to be born but will be put in someone care and it has 3 option
• sell them for profit (a bit evil but it's kinda true back in medieval times, and this could be the banker who'll be receiving the profit, heck you could give the tax collector by selling it for money which we could have more conversation with, kinda tired being in debt for a while)

• take care of them yourself which could be hard to figure out the mechanic for this (I'll come up with this kind of mechanic later if you want)

• give to gizel, goldie, sell or give it to Gio(kinda miss him) as a present (I want to see him again in the game, rather than reading through the story, same goes for the girl that player save in the some kind of dungeon, carpenter should have some interactions since I have build stuff for me or maybe the guy who keeps coming to place and flex his girls so I could flex him back with my girls)

Now, you maybe wondering that why don't I make a mod for this, that's because idk how to code in python, I mean I could edit some of the codes in the game but at basic knowledge. I'm still in school and learning html or Css for Webpages until I get to learn python. I could help with the dialogue in conversation and evennts (don't worry, I'll do it for free since I got no life and unemployed until I graduated.

Hi, I'll separate the suggestions above in two tiers:

- New one-off interactions/events: Those are relatively easy to implement, the issue is writing those events in a consistent manner with the game (including accounting for personalities, balancing results and rewards, etc.). If you are willing to write the events in Ren'Py, you are welcome, you can always add pseudo-code in comments to be replaced by Python code later. I think it should be part of a mod first but I can give pointers or even integrate it directly in vanilla if the events have been sufficiently tested and proof-read.

- New complex systems (such as conditions, pregnancy...): I'm absolutely not going to touch this one in the short term, the risk is postponing v0.3 indefinitely. You're still welcome to develop it as a mod, but you'll need help from someone experienced with Python and how BK works.

A suggestion that may or may not be easy to implement:

An option to ignore the core stats (and traits) set by the bk.ini file would be nice as different packmakers set these quite different which makes a quite a few of the girls unusable as long as one doesn´t manually change the bk.ini values.

Okay, I'll add it as a setting in BKsettings.rpy because I think it's a bit of an advanced feature.

Hey, in the next update of brothel king?
I would call this a love update lul
Rather having love value 100, why not make it 1000 or infinite because I got some specific plans for it, besides the game is a long progressions story, so having long relationship make senses

also I think the love cap in the ranking should be removed

Ranks should be known as the girl having more value in selling or used in posting
while Love value should be its own relationship changing how girl would react
Ranks should have more like a level of it's own like
for example:
Starting at lowest rank slaves should earn money because they are your slaves and they shouldn't earn money
At a higher rank slaves can turned into Assistants, assisting you with work and finally be able to earn money
I would also thinking about adding my own rank here by using a mod to implement but that's a secret :)

Fear value should also be changed as personality like extrovert and introvert could replaces that
Introvert should have fear
safe
nervous
scared

Extrovert should have madness
insane
normal
emotionless

more option when going out to the slums, town, city, villages
talking to random specific people rather than press talk to people

forest update:
- add in a new zone where you can hunt for slaves, also add in encounter with male slaves where you can sell them or set them free or make it your own slave
(It'll be Wierd to talk about having males as a slave but I would love to see varieties in the game. If not, I can just enjoy futas)

- add in monsters where you the monsters can be captured for the farm or kill them and sell their goodies to black market
(I would love to see a rework of the fighting system you have because having to roll the dice to battle seems kinda meh to me :/ )

- add in equipments to the mc like wearing armors magic orb
(it also means that there'll be a more character that you have to add in but I think it'll be good for the game because I think the game needs variety of content that you can enjoy [I remember playing fall in the labyrinth and there was a lot of variety content in the game and I think it could still be improved, just like brothel king, It could be improved])

update: (possible)
- create an economy, where rather you owning 1 brothel business, you can have 2 or 3 or more and you can set it up on multiple locations
- remove love, fear capped, the value should be long as 1000 or 10000, a 100 is a bit too small
- change libido stat into a leveling system (good replacement for ranking)
- sensitive should be like emotion stat (this stat indicate if girls are over reacting or not)
- the other stat capped shouldn't be removed since I think it's pretty balanced (edited)

future update: (could be possible)
- makes girl pregnant with percentage of having a baby
- girls that are pregnant should have a tag
- girls can donate the child to the slave market (it's a bit dark but this is medieval times so I'm not suprised)
- change the bisexual tag where you can choose another girl rather than sill to have sex with
- add in a foursome tag or more
- more side quest and events
- more items
- add in potion effects
- add in hunger (-- energy), hygiene (cleanliness) (wouldn't attract customers) (edited)

impossible update: (unlikely)
- add in a day/night cycle where rather than passing a day, you can have 2 activities in and night
- add in option for a girl that wake you up with a blowjob
- when a baby is born, another option is to make sill or other girls or their mother raise them
- add in loli and incest tag (⊙_⊙;) (edited)
- add in 2 tags (1 for human and another for different species that people can edit how old they can be)
- add in aging
- add in the fountain of youth (+100 years, every sip) drink too much (like 2 times), you aged backwards 100 years
- if the baby is a boy, either add it into the farm or sell him for adoption like there's gotta be like a place for adopting baby
- add in competitors
- add in a tournament (the tournament can be in these category) (edited)
+ endurance like racing (got the idea from jack o nine tails)
+ whoring

and more but some of my ideas kinda got out of hand and may not work or stupid

Hello! I have a few ideas that shouldn't have a significant impact on the balance.
I suggest adding a few new "jobs" (however, they won't be like the main 5).
1."Big Mama" - (I think this is quite relevant for brothels) she could be like a trainer or manager among your girls. Mainly, she should trigger mini-events that help improve the girls' skills. You can also make it so that this role unlocks over time or at a certain rank.
2. Housekeeper - this could be something similar to punishment or work to increase obedience. She should improve the overall cleanliness score for the night and trigger mini-events where visitors interact with her. She should not receive a salary or her salary should be minimal.
3. Security - here it's straightforward, a job to increase, for example, constitution. It enhances overall security and affects related events. It also protects the girls from attacks (because every girl with a sword is a bit strange) and can have fun with defeated opponents.
4.Entertainer - should work as advertising. Triggers visitor events, for example, can attract more visitors, unique ones, or those who are currently locked. She can also entertain clients for an additional fee.
5. Chef - accordingly, I propose a new "Kitchen" mechanic and some adjustments to the food in the game.
It seems to me that the food mechanic is somewhat weak and can be diversified. I suggest making food for clients and for the girls. For clients, this should work as buffs (for example, a chance for satisfaction +1 or a chance for an extra +%5 tip). For girls, there should be their own benefits (+stats or a chance for +5 energy). Food will need to be purchased, and it will depend on the player and the in-game situation whether there is enough money for exotic fruits, or maybe there's no money, and guests will eat unpleasant dishes. Do you love your girls? Do you want to instill fear in them and feed them scraps? Accordingly, a new slider will appear in the brothel menu, allowing you to set how exotic or down-to-earth your menu will be. Up to the middle of the game, the current food mechanic works fine, but (this is just my opinion) when you have more than 8 girls, it becomes difficult to keep track of each one, let alone feed them separately. Certainly, bringing back the role of the chef - she should trigger events related to the kitchen and have an impact on the quality of dishes.

More ideas
- An alternative location for the main character's room could be an underground area (prison, game room). The difference is that the girls cannot work from there, and they have a very small chance of escaping. You can do anything with them there. Just like in the bedroom it also provides additional nighttime interactions.
- At the moment, a girl can either be purchased or "picked up" on the street. You can create a few rare events that would provide an opportunity to obtain a girl for free. These girls can have some unique effects that only apply when the girl is obtained for free. It would also be great if free girls could be forcefully turned into slaves through fear.
- A wealthy guest (according to the game stage) can, for an additional fee, request unique services. It could be anything. They may request a specific girl or several, special services, request an virgin girl, or send their own dogs or security to your girl for have fun.
- Adding effects that would push you to sell a girl. For example "burnout" effect, which forces your girl to lose efficiency. Or, a "broken heart" effect could occur if you mistreat a girl who loves you. Additionally,  very cruel client, sick, or rare events could also trigger such effects.
- Grouping girl's traits into inherent (permanent) and acquired (modifiable). Accordingly, acquired skills may change over time. For example, a girl may have a skill that provides +1 satisfaction from massages, but if she has been working as a dancer for several months, there could be a chance that this skill changes to something related to dancing. In other words, skills can be acquired or forgotten, but there should still be a limit on the total number of traits.
- Expand the number of slots for the main character. Add gloves, armor, cloaks, amulets, etc. It doesn't have to be as extensive as with weapons. You can include a few items that, for example, are obtained through completing main tasks and provide some small but enjoyable buffs.
- Auction mechanics. At the auction, high-level girls with a good set of skills or perks will be presented. To obtain them, a significant amount of money would be required.

I can go into more detail on each point if necessary. I understand that many of these proposals require a lot of work, but for start, I'm curious to know if these ideas are interesting to both regular players and the author. If so, I'm ready to help as much as I can.

-create a UI editor(an update to the tagging tool) or remake the "interact" button where each girl will have a specific files where you can edit or move the UI

+Idea1: Update to the tagging tool
This will open for more option for like changing how the portrait of the girl of how should she be feeling rather than just happy, sad, neutral. Making this change would be hard but It'll would help with some pictures being jealous, blush, angry, scared,...(you don't need to change the affection of how a picture of girl should react, you can make it default or custom where as others could edit it to make the full body portrait react more naturally)

+Idea2: Another update to the Tagging tool
Allow people to create better UI with interactive buttons rather than just plain text, you can use the plain text as a default ofc, but this will some how help you not to work on slave UI anymore since the people like me could redesign the whole thing

+Idea3: They shouldn't be there
Remove the training and magic training on a category topic like putting them in posting or create a new place call school where they train the slaves. (and maybe even adding more values to MC where the MC could train the slaves, got this idea from Jack-o-Nine-Tails)

+Idea4: Quality of life changes
·When you change her job, don't create button for it, make it where it should be next to the slave name with plain text and when pressed you could change their job
·The stat  should be the Statistic button where it'll show you how long have you been working with this slave and what main skills does she have.
·Change the word Items to Inventory.

My biggest UI complaint is the item screen, especially how the items look the same regardless if they give +5 Body or +30 Body.
I thought about giving the items some kind of quality indicator, so you can tell the item quality just by a glance instead of having to hover your mouse over them.
I came up with the idea of using ranks similar to how girls are ranked, so from C to X, worst to best.

Hello! Is it possible to add a log specifically for girls? I think it can be implemented as a separate tab in the magic notebook. It would be very useful to be able to check the notebook and see, for example: service training - +2 obedience + 2 service, or improvement after work - +2 charisma, etc.

I can certainly see how the rank of your pimping license could become a bigger deal in the future, especially in terms of available options in the slavemarket (with something like the headhunter being unlocked bit by bit)

Do you have any ideas on where the game's story could go in later chapters? That's interesting to think about as well.

I'm thinking about corruption and financial situations could happen in later chapters since the bank was situated in chapter 7 I think? and that somehow could affect the story between the headhunter mod story clash with the bank like a similar story happen in genshin between beidou(look like a pirate) and ningguang(rich girl) while the rival guy that keeps coming to our brothel and flexing his girls could be hutao since he could be financially broke xD

hi, it has been a while, but maybe it is interesting at later stages that a girl gets close to a client and tries to run of, so you need to search for her again? or she steals money from you so you need a certain amount of wits to uncover her? just to get more things going when you have more points for running around in town and stuff

You can ask the slave trader to try and find/capture a slave with the traits/stats that you request for the next week (also have to pay extra for the service and search can also fail if you demand to much)

I Dont know if it was suggested before, But it would nice to have someway to keep track if you already explored all the kinks in a particular Girl, and even better to know which acts have locked kinks

Its kinda bothersome to go through all the trainings just to find out that you have everything unlocked or you are missing just one kink
