The Fixation Manager mod is tool that adds the ability to manage the fixations of your girls. The base game allows you to remove negative fixations by training. This mods offers the ability to both add fixations in a relatively lore friendly way. Additionally a sandbox/cheat mode is also available, allowing you to manage both add and remove fixations (both positive and negative).

This is my first attempt ever at publishing a mod (of any kind) so please forgive any less-than-ideal coding. Any and all constructive feedback is welcome.

To activate the mod (or pretty much any mod), in the main menu go to "Mods", select "Fixation Manager" and press "Activate Mod" (should work with any save).

How does this work?

The mod will add the ability to add positive fixations in the "Magic" tab, under "Magic Skill Training". The lore friendly version of the training uses a combination of the hypnosis and negative fixation removal systems. Once you select it you will have the option to chose the act that you want to make the girl like, and then the hypnosis dialogue comes into play. I left in the restrictions regarding the girl's willingness to try a sex act, which means (for example) that you cannot add a fixation to a girl if she hasn't accepted training in any of the sexual acts involved.
Even after the hypnosis, success isn't guarantied. You will need to successfully train the girl four times in the same act to add it as a positive fixation.

You can currently tune the difficulty (how likely the training is to succeed after a successful hypnosis attempt) as well as disabling the option for the failed training altogether from the "Options" panel.

To open the "Options" panel (and enable cheats):
  • Load a game or start a new one and the press the "?". Select "Mods" and click on "[Fixation Manager] Show Fixation Widget".
  • A button should now pop up in the bottom right corner of your screen that will allow you to manage the mod your girls' fixations.
  • Disable "Story Mode" to allow you to cheat and edit the girls sandbox style.

Usage is pretty simple. Once you select a girl you will see a list of fixations. Checking the box to the left ("Hate" column) will add the fixation as negative, and checking the box to the right ("Likes" column) will add the fixation as positive.

Future plans:
  • Add the ability to add negative fixations and remove both positive and negative ones.
  • Do something so the increase in fear during the training (side effect of the hypnosis) will be optional.
  • Any interesting suggestions.
  • Fix the damn alignment of the "Likes" column.
  • Add a lore friendly option to do everything (likely using magic training).

Special shoutout to the people behind the "King's Way" mod (MonkOne, Kite80, Jman). I pretty much based the entire interface on their work.

Big Boss, is this MOD applicable to the latest v0.3 test version?

Well it's works with the lastest patch. Tested it.

mmm520555

This MOD does not work properly in the game's story mode. Is this the original intention of the MOD design? Or am I using it incorrectly?
I used 4 MODs, namely [ChrisJobMod] [Fixation Manager] [King's Way] [Trait King],
The game version is v0.3, using the update patch on January 3, and using an unfinished translation patch from a Chinese author.

Jman

What exactly is not working?

I imagine the Chinese patch might alter the same base game code in some places, so that'd probably need a special patch for combining the two.

Just tested, only installed the official game, and then installed the patch on January 3, when click to start the game, can only enter the story mode.
In this case, when the MOD is enabled, the girl still cannot be selected, the option is gray, and other options can indeed be clicked.

This is intentional:

Click the 'no sandbox' button to disable story mode.

'Story mode' in this case is a mod-internal term not related to the 'story'/'no story (test)' modes of the game itself.

This means that the MOD is designed so that it cannot be used without completing the game (i.e. in story mode).
It can only work properly after completing the game, playing the [Second Round] of the game, and selecting [Sandbox Mode].
Am I right?

No.

The mod itself has two modes of use: lore-friendly (use magic training to add fixations) and cheaty (disable 'story mode' by clicking a button and edit your girl directly). This 'story mode' has nothing to do with Brothel King's own 'story'/'free'/New Game Plus modes. It's an unfortunate and confusing choice of terms.

Can I understand it this way:

On the one hand, after enabling the MOD, whether in story mode or not, you can use [Hypnosis] on the girl management page by clicking the [Interaction] option to enable the MOD function.

On the other hand, it can only be used in sandbox mode. The method of use is to click "Help" in the upper right corner of the screen to display the interface of the MOD in the lower right corner of the screen, so that you can directly adjust the various sexual preferences of the selected girl.

Am I right?

Jman

Yes to the first. You don't need to enable anything, just click 'Fixation training' just under 'Libido training' in the 'Magic' sub-menu.

Not quite to the second. The mod has a button called 'Story mode (no sandbox)', available from the 'Fixation menu' enabled from the '?' menu for mods. This button has no connection whatsoever to the game's 'story'/'test' modes, New Game Plus or anything else. It's just the name of this button. Clicking said button enables/disables the 'Select Girl' button at the top. That's all it does, and it's not dependent on anything.

Thank you very much "Jman" for your patient, serious and detailed answer to my question! I think I have completely figured it out.

On the one hand, this MOD is effective in any mode and can unlock all functions.
On the other hand, due to the limitations of the MOD, players need to click the [First Level Menu] at the bottom right of the screen after enabling the MOD, enter the [Second Level Menu], select [Settings], and then select whether it is "Story" or "Sandbox" according to your play mode. If the selection is correct, the MOD will unlock all functions.

Jman

This is not a mod limitation, it's a delibarate choice to only allow 'cheating' when you click a specific button.

The 'Story mode (no sandbox)' button does not depend on your play mode. It's always there and always does the same thing: enabling/disabling the 'Select girl' button. That's all there is to it.

Magical training to add fixations is always possible regardless of anything else, be it game mode, whether you clicked the button, what colour your socks are, etc.
