Would it be worth it adding a customizable portrait for the Main Character dialogue window?

Vanilla would be a cut out from existing MC profile pictures. But you could customize it simply by dropping your favorite picture in the relevant folder.

I've got a certain picture of MC in mind, but I think seeing that idea crumble will be a lot of fun.

I have to admit that other time-consuming requests immediately come nagging:
- The storyline would hinder my immersion into my "Sweet Baby Ray's" whorehouse fantasy. So the no-story sandbox mode will be a must-have
- Can you play as a female/change pronouns? (even though MC must probably have a penis regardless)
- Once MC is customisable, Sill would be next in line (being able to replace her with any girlpack)

In my mind the MC is just a Rance expy, only about a tenth as cool. Not cool enough to be actual Rance.

That's a resounding 'no' for now, however I guess no-story mode could open up some avenues. Still, that's a lot of rewriting existing events that I for one am not keen to do. Of course, if someone else is volunteering...

Probably could work for the no-story mode as well. This might be more realistic in the short term (although I'm not so sure it would be useful, Sill without any events is basically just a portrait and a trainer...).

A custom trainer-effect and a custom trainer-label would open up some options, but there's no need to cram it in. We can let that idea marinate for a while longer

I'm curious to see what Sill will feel like in the no-story mode. She's still gonna have some presence through dialogues, but if I miss her too much I might just be tempted to write some events for her to bring her to the foreground now and then

It's an open question I have: How much story should I take out of the 'no-story' mode? So far I've gone with disabling most of the one-off events, whether they relate to the main questline or not, because I assume people just want to play without being interrupted by events.

But another route would be to allow most one-off events to happen, just not the main story line. I'm not sure which option people are thinking of when they ask for 'no-story'.

Regarding the object of the poll, it seems we don't have a clear majority so I'm in no rush to add a portrait feature if it's unneeded. I'll allow the poll to exist for a little while longer to give people a chance to give more feedback.

I think it's primarily for people who've played the game lots of times already, or people who've tried it once and decided that they like the gameplay/mechanics but aren't as interested in the VN-aspects.

I'm happy with disabling most one-off events.

I would recommend a customizable(only for people who don't have a character of their own)character but that would mean a lot of work so I would go for stock images or let people upload pictures of their own.
