How does the tax lady function? Now that i am making decent money with A rank girls, the payments are starting to feel egregious. Do they just go up linearly, or are they a % of what you've made that they expect you to keep on hand?

It's calculated from how long you stay in 1 district and how much money you have.

*not based on how much you have, but on how much you've made in the past month. You can be sitting on a pile of money, as long as it's old money.

There's a progressive tax system with various tax brackets and tax rates
0% if you make almost no money, 50% of your income is insane (+128000 per day on average)

And then on top of that tax bracket it scales up with other factors:
- Up to 20% extra based on which district you're in
- Up to 20% extra based on your chosen difficulty setting
- Up to 20% extra for staying in one district for a long while
- The value is adjusted by a random modifier between -25% to +25% and the amount owed will never be higher than 95% or lower than 0% of your income.

Does the taxation take into account Quest rewards, town events and item sales ?
Or is the income based only on the night events (jobs and whores) ?

Edit : Can the taxation dialogue be changed from "You have to pay xxx on the 1st of next month." to "Since you earned yyy this month, you have to pay xxx on the 1st of next month." ?

Edit2 : I made a quick search in the code, and it seems like the taxable amount only depends on the brothel's performance at the end of each day. So if you want to make some extra money that is not taken away by the evil financial officer, then better do some quests, town events or train+sell girls.
Also if that is the case and you are submitted to the highest tax possible (95%, especially achievable on higher difficulties), 1000 gold from a quest will be as much net gold as 20000 gold from a working girl. Gives some value to doing the quests each week
